ABI matters

Now, upgrading my Gentoo box again. Mainly drived by GCC 4.1.1 upgrade. Upgrade gcc (from 3.4.6 to 4.1.1) means I need to emerge -eav world, but why? ABI involves some knowledge on shared library and some knowledge about linker and loader. The following is GOOD reference

PyBlosxom, xmlrpc_blogger and BloGtk

It's really cool! The blog engine I'm using is PyBlosxom. This engine is lean and simple enough for me. But it is the first time I am aware that, withe xmlrpc plugin, I can post blog with desktop client.

This post is edit with BloGTK and published directly in the GUI. Wonderful :)

My take on Postfix + Cyrus

The default MTA in SLES9 is Postfix while the default IMAPD is cyrus. Hence, I start to figure out how to use them. By the way, it is really hard to get some good, and in-depth documentation.

Finally, the best document for Cyrus is the official documentation. Besides, I have found two HOW-TO on configuring Postfix + Cyrus on FreeBSD. (But IMO, both of them fail to explain the stuff, anyway, still a good source for me).
